From liability to protein.
Nitrogen is the input growers know best, and the one that goes wrong most quietly.

A liability until it’s a protein
Nitrogen sitting in the plant unbuilt is a liability: soft growth, and an open door for pests and disease. Once the plant has built it into protein, it’s paying its way.
And all nitrogen is not equal. The form it goes on in, the timing, and what the plant can actually use all change the result, which is why total nitrogen and free nitrogen tell such different stories.
