Your details, looked after.
What we keep when you join the waitlist, write to Steve, take the farm audit, sign in to the hub, pay for something here or ask QuorumAI, and why. In plain words.

What we keep, and why
When you join the waitlist
Your email, and anything else you choose to tell us: your first name, what you grow, and whether you’re a grower or an adviser. We note the page you joined from, too, and if a link from a talk or an advert brought you, which one. It’s for one email when episode one is out, or one note the day the part you asked about opens. The link at its foot takes you off every waitlist at once, and deletes your details there and then.
When you write to Steve
Your message, with the name, email or phone number and farm details you give. It comes to Steve by email, and we keep it so he can reply and follow up.
When you sign in to the hub
Your email, which is how you sign in, and your first name, which you can change on your details page in the hub. Tick the box there, and we’ll email you the day each episode is out, noting which we’ve sent so none comes twice. The link at the foot of each stops them, and so does unticking it. If you send Steve a question, we keep it to answer. Steve, or Adam where Steve can’t, replies by email within the week, to the address you sign in with: to do that, they see your question with your first name and that address. When there’s a live Q&A, it can also go on Steve’s list for the next one, with your first name only if you’re happy for him to read it out. You can see yours on the Ask Steve page, and when each was answered.
When you pay for hub membership
You pay on Stripe’s page, and change your card or stop your subscription there. Stripe keeps your card details; we never see them. We send Stripe your account reference and, for a new customer, your email. We keep the link between your account and Stripe’s customer, subscription, checkout and price references, with when that link was made and whether billing has ended. We read your current subscription from Stripe to check access, rather than keeping a local copy of its invoices.
Before closing your account, we need to confirm that billing has ended, so you aren’t left paying for an account that’s gone. Closing removes your sign-in and member profile, including your name and email. The billing link keeps the former account’s reference, not its profile, so a late message from Stripe can still be matched and any remaining subscription stopped. Stripe’s records remain under its own privacy policy.
When you ask QuorumAI
We don’t keep your questions, or its answers.Signed in, your conversations are kept with your account, as below. To answer, your question goes to the AI model that answers for QuorumAI, through Vercel’s AI Gatewayto Google, whose Gemini model answers for QuorumAI here, or to Anthropic, whose Claude does if you choose it (and if Claude won’t or can’t answer it, to DeepSeek’s model instead, run in the United States by a provider that keeps nothing, through Vercel’s AI Gateway), with the conversation so far. In the program builder, your plan goes with it, with the products you’ve added, what you said in your farm audit, and where your crop is up to: your latest crop walk and sap test, with your notes on them, and what you noted at the same stage last season (you can keep where your crop is up to back, under What QuorumAI knows). When it drafts a program from a block’s tests, those tests go too, unless you untick them: each one’s numbers, units and date, its depth or part, its stage, and the lab’s own ranges and its low or high marks, and nothing else from the report. Once you use a draft, its notes on why each pass is there are part of your plan. In the full chat, your question goes with what it remembers about your farm, the notes you’ve let it read, and where your crop is up to, going by your plan, crop walks and sap tests: you can switch each of those off. Once your farm audit is in your hub, what you said in it is part of what it remembers, and the audit is one of the notes it reads.Once your farm audit is in your hub, what you said in it about what you grow, your water, your costs and last season is part of what it remembers, and the audit is one of the notes it reads, without who buys from you, what keeps you up at night or where you want the farm in a few years. Those go into Your farm only if you add them. Vercel’s Gateway keeps none of this, and passes it only to a company that has agreed with Vercel to keep nothing and never to learn from it. If none is free, QuorumAI can’t answer just then. What it remembers stays in your browser, where you can see it, change it or have it forget. We keep only a tally of each member’s answers and how long they were, and what each cost you if it came out of your credit, for the daily allowance, your credit and to know what it costs us.
Asked from the panel beside a page of your hub, your question also goes with that page’s title and heading, never your name, though a block’s name, as you named it, can be in them.
Beside your soil, leaf or sap tests, while Its tests goes with your questions (under What QuorumAI knows), it also goes with what that page shows. For a soil or leaf test, that’s its numbers, units and date, its depth or part, the crop it was under, its planting and stage, the lab’s own ranges and its low or high marks, Southern Cross’s guide on Haney’s numbers, and how far each has moved since the test before. For sap tests, it’s each one’s numbers, what was below detection, and its day and stage this season, with how the new leaf’s been moving. Each goes with the crop’s name, when the season started, and what was left out to keep it short. Nothing else from the report goes.
If you ask the team for something the hub can’t do, we keep what you send, with your name, and your crop if you include it, to plan the hub and to tell you when it’s done. You can delete it from the chat.
In the full chat, your question also goes with the few things you’ve told it about your farm, under What QuorumAI knows: what you grow, where the farm is, your soil, your water, how you farm, who buys and what for, your gear, what you’re aiming for and what keeps you up at night. They’re kept in your browser with what it remembers, and you can change or clear each one there.
QuorumAI may offer to add something you’ve told it to Your farm. It’s only added if you tap Add.
QuorumAI keeps nothing about your farm by itself. Under an answer, it may offer your own words from your question to remember, or a change to what it remembers, and only your tap keeps it, in your browser, with an Undo beside it.
When you ask QuorumAI about your list, as in “what’s on my list?” or “what’s due this week?”, the reminders due in the next fortnight, and those past due in the last fortnight and not done, go with that question: six at most, the coming ones first, and never one you keep to yourself. A note or a reminder it writes for you, when you ask, is in your own words and stays in your browser.
If you ask QuorumAI to look something up on the web, only the few words it shows you go to Anthropic, whose Claude searches a short list of Australian agriculture sites for them. What it finds stays with your chat, in this browser. We keep a count of your lookups and what they cost, never the words.
If QuorumAI offers to look at your crop walk’s photos and you tap Show it, up to four of them go with your question to the company whose model answers, Google or Anthropic, as the offer says. They’re drawn again first, without where or when they were taken, and each goes with only our own words for what it is. We keep a count of your looks, never the photos, and the photos don’t stay in your chat.
Signed in, your conversations with QuorumAI are kept with your account, so they follow you between your phone and your computer: what you asked, its answers, their sources, and when each was said. On a browser that already had conversations, they’re kept only once you say they’re yours. Your notes and reminders, what it remembers and Your farm stay in your browser. No one on our team reads your conversations. They’re kept until you delete them: delete one, and it goes from all your devices, and Delete my kept conversations, under Your details, deletes them all. A conversation you delete can stay in our backups until they expire. Past 300 conversations, the oldest go to make room.
When QuorumAI reads a lab’s report or a label
We don’t keep it. A PDF or a photo of a lab’s report that your sap or soil tests page can’t read itself goes, only when you say yes, to the AI models QuorumAI uses to copy out its numbers: Google’s Gemini, and Anthropic’s Claude to read it a second time, through Vercel’s AI Gatewaytwo of Google’s Gemini models, the second reading it again to check the first. The numbers come back to your browser for you to check, and only those you keep are kept, there.
A photo of a product’s label goes to the AI models QuorumAI uses, only when you choose one in the program builder, to copy its name and analysis for you to check. We don’t keep the photo or what was read from it: only the product, if you keep it, on your device.
When you buy QuorumAI credit
You pay on Stripe’s own page, so we never see your card. Stripe keeps the payment, and emails you a receipt. We keep what you bought, when, and Stripe’s reference for it, to add it to your credit and for the business’s tax records. If you close your account, the purchase stays in those records, but not your name or email.
Your season’s program
The program builder keeps your plan, and any products you add to it, in your own browser, not with us. They go nowhere unless you download the plan, print it, email it to yourself, ask QuorumAI about it, or send it to Steve.
When you ask QuorumAI about your plan, a list of what you’ve kept for that block goes with the question. So do the walks, tests and past versions of the plan that your question points to. A walk’s photos don’t go with the question, only what each is of, such as “the typical plant”.
When you email yourself your plan
We keep your email, your first name if you give it, and the plan as you sent it, and email the plan to you. Without the box for the season’s reminders ticked, that one email is all we send, and we delete it all after a month. If you tick the box, we keep its words and when you ticked it, and email you at your crop’s critical stages until the season’s done, then delete it all, 13 months after you sent the plan at the latest. The link at the foot of each email stops them, and deletes your email and the plans you emailed yourself there and then.
When you send Steve your plan
We keep the plan as you sent it, your note to Steve, your first name and your email, and email them to Steve once you’ve paid, so he can go over it and reply to you. You pay on Stripe’s page, as for credit, and we keep the purchase for the business’s tax records. If you don’t pay, we delete what you sent after two weeks. If you close your account, your plan, your note, your name and your email go from our records, and the purchase stays.
When you buy one of Steve’s programs
You pay on Stripe’s own page, so we never see your card. We keep your order: what you bought, which edition, what you paid and when, and Stripe’s reference for it. It’s how your PDF opens to you, and it’s kept for the business’s tax records. We email you how to open the PDF, and note each time it’s opened. If you close your account, the order stays in those records, but not your name or email.
For a printed book, Stripe’s page also asks for your postal address, and a phone number for the courier. We don’t keep them. We pass your name, address and phone from Stripe to Lulu, which prints the book and posts it to you. Lulu is based in the United States. We keep Lulu’s reference for the print job, and email you the tracking once it’s posted. If you close your account, the tracking goes too.
When you take the farm audit
Your farm audit stays in your browser as you fill it in, with its photos, and goes nowhere until you send it. Sending it signs you in with a code to your email, so it’s kept with your account and your month in the hub has somewhere to go. We keep it as you sent it, with its photos, your name, your email and your phone number if you give it, and email it to Steve with its photos, so he can read it and get back to you. The photos are kept in a private store that only we can open. We use it to see it’s complete and to set up your month in the hub, and for nothing else.We use it to see it’s complete, to have QuorumAI check your answers qualify (below), and to set up your month in the hub, and for nothing else. It never goes to a supplier. Ask, and we’ll delete it. If you close your account, it goes with it.
Each time you send a complete farm audit, QuorumAI reads your answers, to check they qualify for the free month: that they say something about your farm. Your answers go to Anthropic’s Claude model, overseas, for that check. Your photos don’t go to any model: we only check they’re there. Where our arrangement with Anthropic allows, it doesn’t keep what you send once it has answered, but we can’t promise that every time. We keep what it found with your audit. If it has a doubt, or can’t read it, Steve looks at your audit himself.
In your browser
There are no cookies for tracking or advertising. The site keeps a few things in your browser’s own storage: your sign-in, so you stay signed in until you sign out; your program plan, and the products you add to it; your crop walks, with their photos, your sap, soil and leaf tests’ numbers (a lab’s file you put in is read in your browser, and only the numbers you keep are kept; one it can’t read, QuorumAI can read with your yes, or you can send it to us, and it’s emailed to our team to read and send you its numbers), the block each of your lab’s sample names was kept on, so the next report’s samples land there, and your lines for next time; your farm audit, with its photos; your notes on each episode, and how far you’ve watched it; your conversations with QuorumAI, what you’ve told it about your farm and what it remembers, and your notes and reminders there; and, for a few minutes, whether sign-in is open. Clearing your browser’s data for this site removes them. Your details page in the hub clears all of them but your sign-in, and signing out clears that. It can also save them all as a file, photos and all, for you to keep and bring back on a new phone or computer: the file is made in your browser and goes only where you save it.
Who helps us run it
- Vercel hosts the site and runs its forms and QuorumAI, and its AI Gateway passes QuorumAI’s questions to the model that answers them. Like any host, it keeps short-lived logs of visits to keep the site running.
- Supabase holds the database and the sign-in, in Sydney.
- Cloudflare Turnstile checks that a visitor is a person. It sees their IP address and browser, never their account.
- Resend sends our emails: sign-in codes, the email the day an episode is out, your messages to Steve, the plans you send him, the plans you email yourself, your orders, the list of questions for his live Q&A, and the team’s weekly list of members’ questions to reply to. It keeps each email for 30 days, so we can check one arrived.
- Mux streams the episodes, with its viewer analytics switched off. In Chrome, its player also loads Google’s script for sending an episode to your TV.
- Anthropic, Amazon or Google runs the Claude model that writes QuorumAI’s answers, whichever the Gateway picks. Each has agreed with Vercel to keep nothing and never to learn from it.
- Anthropic’s Claude writes QuorumAI’s answers when you choose it.
- DeepSeek’s model writes QuorumAI’s answer when Claude won’t or can’t, run in the United States through Vercel’s AI Gateway by a provider that keeps nothing, never by DeepSeek itself.
- Google’s Gemini writes QuorumAI’s answers.
- Google’s Gemini reads a lab’s report when QuorumAI reads one for you, and Anthropic’s Claude reads it a second time.Google’s Gemini reads a lab’s report twice when QuorumAI reads one for you.
- Google’s Gemini reads a product’s label from your photo when you choose one, and Anthropic’s Claude reads it a second time.Google’s Gemini reads a product’s label from your photo twice when you choose one.
- Anthropic’s Claude reads a farm audit’s answers when you send one, to check they qualify for the free month.
- Stripe takes our payments, and keeps your card details. It also keeps a book’s postal address and phone.
- Lulu prints Steve’s books and posts them. It gets the buyer’s name, postal address and phone, never their email. It’s based in the United States.
Each handles your details only to do that job for us. Apart from the database, they work mostly from the United States, so your details may be handled there.
How long we keep it
Only as long as it’s useful for what you gave it for. Then we delete it, or sooner if you ask.
- The waitlist: until the Course is out and you’ve had its email.
- A part’s waitlist: until that part opens and you’ve had its note.
- A message to Steve: two years after your last message.
- A plan you email yourself: a month, or with the season’s reminders, until the season’s done and 13 months at most.
- A farm audit you send: two years after you send it.
- Your hub account: while you’re a member, and for two years after your membership ends, so everything’s there if you come back. Then we delete it, with everything kept with it.
- Your customer record at Stripe: once your hub account has been gone a day, we delete it, with the name and email saved on it, and no card you saved can be charged again. That’s on our next morning check: within two days when all goes well, and later if many are waiting, a check fails or a person needs to look at it. Stripe keeps its own record of each payment you made, which can hold the name and email you paid with, and settles a refund or a dispute from it. Deleting your customer record doesn’t remove that record, since the tax law asks for it. Stripe also keeps a record of each card you saved. It has the card’s brand, last four digits, expiry and country, and can hold the name and email you paid with. Stripe keeps both under its own privacy policy.
- Our link to Stripe: until your customer record has gone, or 91 days after you last joined if that’s later, because our daily check of payments looks back 90 days. It’s Stripe’s reference numbers, with no name, email or amount. We keep nothing else of your membership for a refund or a dispute.
- Counts that stop the forms and QuorumAI being flooded: two days. Each use is counted by IP address, or by email or account, and kept as a scrambled code, never the address or the email itself. Counts over two days old are cleared as new ones come in.
- Copies of the database: two weeks. We keep private copies to put things right if something goes wrong. Each night, the copies over 14 days old are deleted. So once something’s deleted, it’s gone from every copy within about two weeks.
- A record of what’s been deleted: 30 days. We keep it so that, if we ever have to put back a copy of the database, nothing deleted since comes back. It holds a scrambled code, never your email or your name.
Purchases are an exception: the tax law has us keep them for five years.
The membership billing link described above is an exception: we keep it only while it’s needed to settle billing and any late message from Stripe. It has no set deletion date yet, and nothing deletes it by itself.
A request you send the team for the hub is kept until it’s done or set aside, and a year after that. You can delete it sooner, from the chat.
Who looks after it
Adam Durey runs the Quorum Ag website, and looks after your details. You can write to him at hello@quorumag.com.au.
Your say
To see what we hold about you, fix it, or have it deleted, email hello@quorumag.com.au or get in touch. Any email about the course or membership says how to stop them. If you’re unhappy with how we’ve looked after your details, tell us first. You can also contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner.
If this changes
We’ll update this page and its date. If a change affects what you’ve already given us, we’ll tell you before it happens.
